We have some opportunities right now, please email Mayor Rossi , Jr. at [email protected] with your name, address, the opportunity you’re interested in, & a brief narrative about yourself/why you’d be a great fit, & the Mayor will reach back out to you soon.

Here are the available opportunities:

1) Park & Tree Board - We need multiple new members for the Park & Tree Board, a group that oversees the current & future conditions of our great parks (Wiswall, Kelley, Iron Spring, Victory Circle, & others) & that helps ensure the vitality of our area trees & greenery with recommendations & oversight. You do not have to have an environmental background of any sort — just have a love of the scenery & greenery of our Village. Meetings are in person, generally once or twice per month.

2) Future of Water & Sewer Rates & Billing Advisory Group - Much like our Ethics Code Rewrite Advisory Group, this group will take one panel that has some experience with this topic (members from the old Revenue Advisory Board) and will add some additional members who have an interest in this specific subject matter. There are some proposals being offered concerning the current & future approaches toward water & sewer rates & billing, but there may be other alternatives that need to be considered. The work of this group will need to balance the importance of ensuring fairness to our local low-income water users & local seniors while trying to ensure revenues will be enough to support future water & sewer infrastructure needs & annual costs. Meetings will likely be both in person & through Zoom, likely once or twice per month.

3) Traffic Safety Advisory Panel - We have been receiving a number of inquiries from interested residents concerning the Traffic Safety Advisory Panel, but we still need even more members to accomplish our goals. Specifically, we would like to crowd source existing conditions & issues on basically every Village street to list out what we can budget for & fix in the immediate future, the moderate-term future, & the long-term future. The focus will especially be on the needs for better/additional signage, zones needing more enforcement, conditions that need to be physically altered for safety purposes, & more. Meetings will likely be through Zoom, likely once or twice per month.

Please reach out & join us, & thanks again for your desire to make our community better!
